Farm and Live Animal Expectations

At this site is a working farm and as such. We are outdoors. There are electric fences, uneven ground, grass, mud, and cow manure. Therefore we encourage you to lean into the regional aesthetic and wear… Gumboots/boots rather than heels, ground can be soft and/or not uniform, avoiding twisted ankles etc.

Our props and locations for the photography session include hay and grasses. Can be itchy on bare skin? Recommend taking hayfever tablets if you are susceptible to hayfever and leeting us know if you would like blankents between your skin and the hay/grass, or removing the haybales all together.

Their Behaviour

Interacting with livestock is inherently risky - entry and participation is entirely at the participant’s own risk. All guests are required to sign a waiver of liability form before participating. Though we cleaned each cow before a shoot, they still have their daily functions such as pooing and weeing. It is very natural and beyond our control.

Remember, we are working with living animals with their own thoughts, moods and feelings. The exact duration and shots possible will always be dependent on the demeanour of the cattle on the day.

Horns

Our cattle are very placid, but they are living animals, and like any animal they may behave unpredictably. They weigh hundreds of kilograms and they also possess horns. (part of safety briefing, highlight the unlikelyhood of this event, but if it should occur) what we would like you to do if they get out of control.
